چکیده
The application of framing effects in the field moral judgement has offered a golden opportunity to assess reliability people’s judgements and decisions. To date, however, these studies are still scarce they suffer from multiple methodological issues. Therefore, this study aims provide further insights into while fixing shortcomings. In study, we employed classic trolley dilemma decision-making paradigm determine extent which decisions susceptible effects. A total 1,040 participants were included study. data revealed that choices did not significantly differ between two frames. Equivalence tests confirmed associated effect size was very small. Further exploratory analyses an unplanned interaction target manipulation. This result became marginally statistically significant insignificant following different sensitivity analyses. implications limitations findings directions for future research discussed.

Forced-choice decision-making in modified trolley dilemma situations: a virtual reality and eye tracking study
Based on the frameworks of dual-process theories, we examined the interplay between intuitive and controlled cognitive processes related to moral and social judgments. In a virtual reality (VR) setting we performed an experiment investigating the progression from fast, automatic decisions towards more controlled decisions over multiple trials in the context of a sacrificing scenario. We repeate...
متن کاملThe Footbridge Dilemma Reflects More Utilitarian Thinking Than The Trolley Dilemma: Effect Of Number Of Victims In Moral Dilemmas
Previous studies on moral judgment have assumed that the trolley and footbridge dilemmas (Thomson, 1985) reflect utilitarian and deontologist thinking, respectively. However, on the basis of the “intervention myopia” hypothesis (Waldmann & Dieterich, 2007) and recent findings in analyses of moral dilemmas (Nakamura, 2011), the current study led a somewhat paradoxical prediction: An effect of th...
متن کاملMoral Decision Making with ACORDA
This paper shows how moral decisions can be drawn computationally by using ACORDA, a working implementation of prospective logic programming. ACORDA is employed to model moral dilemmas, as they are able to prospectively look ahead at the consequences of hypothetical moral judgments. With this knowledge of consequences, moral rules are then used to decide the appropriate moral judgments. The who...

We examine whether the processes by which core cultural narratives are applied in people’s lives follow the pri...
